Paula O'Donnell
Teaches: Keyboard, Piano, Organ, Saxophone & Theory
Biography: Paula O'Donnell has been playing organ, keyboard
and piano since the age of eleven, and saxophone since the age
of twelve. She started teaching at the age of fifteen. She has
performed in many concerts and has received many awards and
scholarships from various festivals and competitions. Paula
opened Segue Music in September of 2001 and has been enjoying
it ever since! |

Jon Avery
Teaches: Violin, Fiddle & Drums
Biography: Jon Avery has been playing the violin since the
age of five, and drums since the age of fifteen. He currently
performs with Relative Harmony and Uncle Heavy’s Pork
Chop Revue. He has played with such notable performers as Sharon,
Lois and Bram, Eric Nagler, and Phil Nimmons. Jon has been teaching
at Segue Music since May 2003.

Judy Greenhill
Teaches: Voice, Keyboard, Piano & Dulcimer
Biography: Judy Greenhill grew up in Toronto. Music has
been an integral part of her life since she was three years
old. By the time she graduated from the University of Guelph
in 1973, she had Grade 8 piano and vocal and was singing
with three different choirs. Since 1979, she has been half
of the performing and recording duo “Rick and Judy” and
has presented concerts and workshops across Canada and the
US. She also plays guitar, Appalachian dulcimer, bodhran,
spoons and feet. Judy has been teaching at Segue Music since
January 2004. |

Brad Gresham
Teaches: Clarinet & Saxophone
Biography: Brad Gresham began playing clarinet in junior
high school in Winnipeg and later played with the Sea Cadets
and the Army Militia. Now living in Milton, Ontario, Brad
enjoys performing with both the Mississauga and Guelph Concert
Bands. Brad has been teaching at Segue Music since September
2005. |

Rob Gellner
Teaches: Trumpet & Trombone
Biography: Rob Gellner graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University
with a major in composition. He plays trumpet with the Guelph
Concert Band, Eramosa Brass, Royal City Big Band, Festival City
Big Band and the Swing Station Big Band. He has done orchestral
playing at Laurier and with the KW Youth Orchestra, as well
as doing solo work with churches, brass quintets, and new music
ensembles. Rob has composed and arranged many big band scores,
concert band scores, chamber music, jazz combos and brass quintet
and quartet pieces. Rob has been teaching at Segue Music since
July 2006.

Jordan Wilson
Teaches: Guitar & Bass
Biography: Jordan Wilson started playing violin at the age
of eight, and played until he was ten. He found his real passion
when he got his first bass guitar at 14 and started playing
guitar later that year. He is a recent graduate from
Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute. Jordan
has been teaching at Segue Music since September 2006. |

Tyler Bridge
Teaches: Bagpipes & Guitar
Biography: With 15 years experience
playing bagpipes, Tyler has received tuition from prominent
pipers such as Mike Baker, and Ed Neigh. At the age of 13 he
took up the guitar and received tuition from Dan Drysdale
for five years before moving on to a post secondary
education in music. He is currently enrolled in the Jazz
Guitar program at the University of Guelph. He is
experienced with rock, metal, blues, jazz, and Celtic music
genres. Tyler has been teaching at Segue Music since
November 2007. |

Julia Hong
Teaches: Flute, Recorder, Piano & Keyboard
Biography:
Julia Hong has been
playing piano since the age of five. She has always been
involved with music at school where she was first introduced
to the flute. She eventually became interested and began
taking lessons at Segue Music in 2005. Julia has since
completed her Royal Conservatory Grade 8 in both piano and
flute and is currently working on her Grade 10 piano. She is
currently attending Bishop MacDonell and is involved with
their music program. Julia has been teaching at Segue Music
since September 2008. |

Mikaela Bennett
Teaches: Voice, Piano & Keyboard
Biography: Mikaela Bennett has been singing since she was six
years old. She was a member of the Guelph Youth Singers, she
sings with Arcady, Ebenezer Church Choir and is studying with
Marion Samuel-Stevens. She attends John F. Ross CVI where she
is a part of Royal Jazz and Ross's Senior Band where she plays
tenor sax. In her spare time Mikaela likes to sing and play
the guitar. She has also been in a number of operas including
Hansel and Gretel, The Magic Flute and Ruth. Mikaela has been
teaching at Segue Music since September 2009. |

Susan Phung
Teaches: Piano, Keyboard & Theory
Biography:
Susan Phung has been taking piano lessons since the age of eight
years and has always been intrigued by the different genres of
music and sounds. Most of all, she respects the uniqueness of
personality and teaching music to people of varying ages. Susan
has been teaching at Segue Music since April 2010. |

Josh Murphy Teaches: Guitar
Biography: Josh Murphy says, "Music and guitar are
much more than a hobby for me, it's a defining aspect of who I
am, it's on my mind all hours of the day". Josh started playing
guitar eight years ago with the intention to learn cover songs
but it slowly grew into something a lot bigger. He began taking
lessons with the amazing Adrian Raso and playing in local bands;
his practice sessions became longer and so did his interests. He
studied theory and has his Advanced Rudiments certification. He
has also studied different genres (blues, jazz, classical,
flamenco), studied piano, and written and recorded demos. Josh
has been teaching at Segue Music since April 2011. |

Joanna Walker
Teaches: Piano, Voice, Keyboard & Theory.
Biography: Joanna Walker
is a firm believer that music is an integral part our daily
lives, and that it enriches personal development. Joanna began
Suzuki piano lessons when she was four years old and continued
to study piano using the Suzuki method until completing her
Grade 8 examination with the 'Royal Conservatory of Music'.
Later, she changed over to the 'Royal Conservatory' piano method
and achieved her Grade 9 piano. She also successfully completed
her Grade 3 Harmony and History. During this time, Joanna took
part in several Kiwanis Music Festivals and Piano Competitions
where she was often placed in the top three ranking for
performance. She has also written some of her own compositions.
Joanna is also a singer and has completed her Grade 8 voice from
the 'Royal Conservatory of Music'. She has taught music
programming for two years at the annual 'Celtic Roots Festival'
in Goderich and has been recorded on a CD entitled 'Post Doc'.
Joanna is a qualified Ontario Primary/Junior teacher and decided
to become a piano teacher because she wants to incorporate piano
and singing even more into her daily life and to inspire other
children to love and appreciate music. Joanna has been teaching
at Segue Music since September 2011. |
