Paula Gazziro

Teaches:  Keyboard, Piano, Organ, Saxophone & Theory

Biography:  Paula Gazziro has been playing organ, keyboard and piano since the age of eleven, and saxophone since the age of twelve. She started teaching at the age of fifteen. She has performed in many concerts and has received many awards and scholarships from various festivals and competitions. Paula opened Segue Music in September of 2001 and has been enjoying it ever since!

 

Caroline Arthur

Teaches:  Flute, Recorder, Saxophone, Piano, Keyboard & Theory

Biography:  Caroline Arthur began piano lessons at the age of six at her Uncle Peter’s music studio, and has been making music ever since. She started teaching at the age of fifteen, and has played flute and saxophone with concert bands in Mississauga, Brampton, Ottawa, St. John’s and Guelph. Caroline has been teaching at Segue Music since September 2002.

 

Anthony Tessaro

Teaches:  Guitar & Bass

Biography:  Anthony Tessaro has always been interested in music. He started organ lessons in 1979, and explored many different instruments before realizing that guitar was the instrument for him. He started guitar lessons in 1989, and has been teaching since 1996. Anthony has been teaching at Segue Music since December 2002.

Jon Avery

Teaches:  Violin, Fiddle & Drums

Biography:  Jon Avery has been playing the violin since the age of five, and drums since the age of fifteen. He currently performs with Relative Harmony and Uncle Heavy’s Pork Chop Revue. He has played with such notable performers as Sharon, Lois and Bram, Eric Nagler, and Phil Nimmons. Jon has been teaching at Segue Music since May 2003.

 

Judy Greenhill

Teaches:  Voice, Keyboard, Piano & Dulcimer

Biography:  Judy Greenhill grew up in Toronto. Music has been an integral part of her life since she was three years old. By the time she graduated from the University of Guelph in 1973, she had Grade 8 piano and vocal and was singing with three different choirs. Since 1979, she has been half of the performing and recording duo “Rick and Judy” and has presented concerts and workshops across Canada and the US. She also plays guitar, Appalachian dulcimer, bodhran, spoons and feet. Judy has been teaching at Segue Music since January 2004.

 

Brad Gresham

Teaches:  Clarinet & Saxophone

Biography:  Brad Gresham began playing clarinet in junior high school in Winnipeg and later played with the Sea Cadets and the Army Militia. Now living in Milton, Ontario, Brad enjoys performing with both the Mississauga and Guelph Concert Bands. Brad has been teaching at Segue Music since September 2005.

 

Rob Gellner

Teaches:  Trumpet & Trombone

Biography:  Rob Gellner graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a major in composition. He plays trumpet with the Guelph Concert Band, Eramosa Brass, Royal City Big Band, Festival City Big Band and the Swing Station Big Band. He has done orchestral playing at Laurier and with the KW Youth Orchestra, as well as doing solo work with churches, brass quintets, and new music ensembles. Rob has composed and arranged many big band scores, concert band scores, chamber music, jazz combos and brass quintet and quartet pieces. Rob has been teaching at Segue Music since July 2006.

 

Jordan Wilson

Teaches:  Guitar & Bass

Biography:  Jordan Wilson started playing violin at the age of eight, and played until he was ten.  He found his real passion when he got his first bass guitar at 14.  He started playing guitar later that year.  He is currently attending GCVI.  Jordan has been teaching at Segue Music since September 2006.

 

 

Mike Callachan

Teaches:  Guitar

Biography:  Mike Callachan has been playing guitar since he was eleven years old.  He graduated from the University of Guelph majoring in both philosophy and music.  He has completed music theory with the Royal Conservatory of Music and is currently working to complete his ARCT.  Mike also spends a great deal of time composing his own music and arranging/transcribing the works of other composers.  Mike has been teaching at Segue Music since December 2006.

 

Kaliesha Boudreau

Teaches:  Keyboard & Piano

Biography:  Kaliesha started playing piano at the age of six and has been taking lessons ever since. She enjoys a wide variety of musical styles. On her own time she likes to sing and play the guitar for which she has taken courses at her high school John F. Ross C.V.I. She has been teaching at Segue Music since June 2007.

 

Robbie Hancock

Teaches:  Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard, Piano, Organ, Songwriting & Theory

Biography:  Robbie has been playing and writing music since he was seven years old. He is a versatile music teacher with diverse and extensive theory and practical knowledge of the guitar, drums, organ and piano. He is also a Singer/Songwriter and has released 2 full length CD's and one solo album. Robbie has toured Canada twice and performed at 4 major festivals in this country over the past decade: Canadian Music Week, North by Northeast, The Ottawa Tulip Festival and The Halifax pop explosion. Robbie has also performed in Magic Kingdom at Disney World in Florida as well as Bush Gardens. Robbie has extensive live music stage performance experience in which he currently performs all over Ontario every week. He has taught private lessons for many years and his most recent experience was a full year of lessons with 22 students ranging from the ages of 5 to 50 at the ARC Music Academy of Fine Arts in Red Deer Alberta in 2005/2006. Tyler Bridge

Teaches:  Bagpipes, Guitar & Drums

Biography:  Tyler's natural ability has lead him to win gold twice in the Kiwanis music festival including a scholarship this past year.  He is experienced with rock, metal, blues, and celtic music genres.  Tyler has been teaching at Segue Music since November, 2007.

Craig Henderson

Teaches:  Guitar

Biography:  Craig has been teaching at Segue Music since May, 2008.

Mariah Macfarlane

Teaches:  Piano, Keyboard, Voice & Theory

Biography:  Mariah has been studying music since the age of three, when she started training her voice. Since then she has been taking private vocal, piano and theory lessons. Some of her accomplishments include: RCM Grade 9 vocal, Grade 4 Piano and Grade 3 History. Next fall she plans to attend university for music, and eventually move on into Music Therapy.  Mariah has been teaching at Segue Music since June, 2008.

Helena Liu

Teaches:  Piano, Keyboard & Theory

Biography:  Helena began studying keyboard at the age of four and the piano at nine. Since then, she has received her Grade 10 RCME certification with First Class Honours with Distinction. Currently, she is working towards an ARCT diploma in Piano Performance. She was an annual scholarship recipient at the Kiwanis Music Festival of Guelph and represented Guelph in the 2005 Ontario Music Festival Provincial Competition. Her favourite composers are Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Brahms, Liszt, and Beethoven. She is currently a Bio-Medical Science major at the University of Guelph. Helena has been teaching at Segue Music since September, 2008.

Biography:  Julia has been teaching at Segue Music since September, 2008.

 

Nathaniel Deshpande

Teaches:  Guitar & Bass

Biography:  Nathaniel has been teaching at Segue Music since September, 2008.
